Launched in 1993, Patek Philippe’s Gondolo collection reimagines the bold, architectural elegance of 1920s Art Deco design. The line takes its name from the “Chronometro Gondolo” watches created by Patek Philippe for the Brazilian jeweler Gondolo & Labouriau in 1902. Today, the Gondolo name defines a collection of refined, non-round timepieces that merge vintage inspiration with modern craftsmanship.

This particular example, the Gondolo Ref. 5014J, is crafted in 18K yellow gold and was retailed by Tiffany & Co., bearing both prestigious signatures on the dial. The solid tonneau-shaped case measures 27mm x 35mm and features a stepped Art Deco bezel and integral lugs—hallmarks of the collection's design ethos.

The double-signed white dial displays black painted Arabic numerals, gold baton hands, and a railway-style outer minute track, with a subsidiary seconds dial located at 6 o’clock for added balance and elegance.

Inside, the watch houses the manually wound Calibre 215, known for its reliability and fine finishing. It features a self-compensating flat balance spring and Patek Philippe’s patented Gyromax balance. The solid case back is secured by four screws, underscoring the watch’s robust construction.
